Terms

Academic terms, sometimes known as “semesters” or “sessions”, are used to define a group of academic course sections that are offered during a period of time. Terms have a start and end date that generally correspond to the date range associated with the section records being offered. A term designation is associated with all course sections. It is possible that a section record will have a start and end date that do not match the term dates. It is also possible for term dates to overlap other terms and section records from other terms. Terms must be configured in the application before course section records can be created or imported.
