When an upgrade to the ObjAcct software application is available, this update will be made available on the Astra Schedule support site along with the next Astra Schedule software release. The ObjAcct software application update is provided as an instalaltion .msi file with "update" in the title along with the new version number. This update should be performed on the application server first, which will update the ObjAcct server installation and the database. Once the application server update is completed, any client installations will be automatically updated the next time the client is accessed. When a user launches their client installation, the server will inform the client of the new version and the client application will download and update the new version from the ObjAcct website. This process requires that the client machine have outside access to the internet.
The steps for updating the ObjAcct software include:
1.Download the ObjAcct update .msi file from the Astra Schedule support site. The file will be named ObjAcctSuiteUpdate.5.x.x.msi.
NOTE: The Astra Schedule and ObjAcct releases may include changes that are dependent on each other. For this reason the releases are coordinated. The ObjAcct software should only be updated along with its corresponding Astra Schedule release.
2.Launch the file and follow the prompts to update the application server installation.
3.Inform users of the ObjAcct client software that the client will be automatically update the next time they run the application.
